Policies
Our policies are in place to protect both your time and mine, and to ensure every client receives the highest level of service in a calm, professional environment. Please take a moment to review them before booking as they help keep everything running smoothly, allow me to stay on schedule, and ensure your visit is relaxing, respectful, and truly yours. Should you have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to contact me. Booking an appointment with me means that you agree to the policies conveyed below.

I. Who Can Book With Me
You must be at least 18 years old to book services, or you must have permission from a parent or guardian.
II. Booking and Payment Terms
All prices are listed in CAD and are subject to change at any time without notice.
All services are offered by appointment only and are subject to availability.
A $20 non-refundable deposit is required to secure your appointment. If the deposit is not received within 1 hour, the appointment will be made available to other clients. Please send the deposit to the e-transfer email given to you and it will go toward your final amount. Please write your appointment day & time in the notes section of the e-transfer.
Remaining balances must be paid at the time of service via cash, e-transfer, The Beauty Jem gift vouchers, or other accepted methods.
No-shows or cancellations made with less than 48 hours’ notice will result in forfeiture of the deposit and may be charged the full service amount before rebooking is allowed.
III. Service Policy
50% or more lashes remaining and within 2-3 weeks since your last appointment = FILL (send me a picture of your lashes if unsure!).
Less than 50% lashes remaining or after 3 weeks since your last appointment = FULL SET & requires a removal.
I do not accept foreign fills, it will require a removal.
IV. Refund Policy
Services: Deposits are non-refundable. Refunds will not be issued for dissatisfaction with services. Clients must communicate dissatisfaction within 3 days since the appointment to qualify for a complimentary touch-up or removal in the same week. No refunds will be given due to allergic reactions, but the removal of my set (if approved by a medical professional) will be free of charge.
V. Right to Modify Services and Pricing
We reserve the right to modify, update, discontinue, or change service offerings and pricing at any time without prior notice. This includes changing availability, service duration, or product features.
VI. Warranties and Service Limitations
While we strive to offer high-quality services, we do not guarantee results due to varying individual characteristics such as skin sensitivity, lash cycle, or aftercare adherence. All clients are expected to follow our pre- and post-care guidelines.
We do not guarantee:

That your results will be identical to reference photos or client examples;

That your lashes or brows will respond to services in a particular way;

That the site will be free of errors, interruptions, or vulnerabilities at all times.
VII. Location and Arrival
The address will be sent to you through email (scroll all the way to the bottom), 24 hours before your appointment.
Kindly arrive on time. If you are early to your appointment, please message me to see if I can take you in earlier. Otherwise, please wait in your car or outside.
Kindly contact me if you are running late (there will be a 10 minute grace period After the grace period, your appointment will either:

Continue with less time and you will still be charged the full amount of your service.

Be cancelled/rescheduled and considered a no-show.
Please come alone as space is limited.
VIII. Cancellations, Reschedules and No-Shows
Please let me know at least 48 hours in advance if you would like to cancel or reschedule (your deposit will apply to 1 reschedule within 1 month).
No-shows or any cancellations/reschedules made within less than 48 hours will result in:

Loss of your deposit

Full payment of the missed service before rebooking.

A new $20 deposit required to secure your next appointment.
Two no-shows will result in not being able to book with me anymore.
If you are sick, let me know as soon as possible and we will cancel or reschedule. Health is more important! If you come with any signs of illness, I reserve the right to cancel or reschedule your appointment.
IX. Squeeze-Ins and After Hours
An additional after hours fee of $20 on top of the total amount is required for appointments outside of my schedule (early mornings/late nights/days off).
X. Gift Vouchers
All gift card purchases are final sale and non-refundable.
Once purchased, gift cards cannot be returned, exchanged for cash, or transferred to another client unless otherwise stated.
Gift cards can be used toward any service or product. They may be redeemed for lash or brow services, retail products, or aftercare kits at The Beauty Jem.
Lost or stolen gift cards cannot be replaced, and The Beauty Jem is not responsible for unauthorized use.
Gift cards must be presented at time of payment. Please bring your digital or printed gift card code with you to your appointment to apply it to your total.
Gift cards do not expire. They hold their full value indefinitely until redeemed unless otherwise stated in a limited-time promotion.
XI. Promotions and Loyalty Cards
Promotions and discounts cannot be combined. Only one promotion, discount, referral credit, or loyalty reward may be used per transaction or appointment — no stacking.
Loyalty cards must be presented at the time of checkout to be filled out. Loyalty discounts cannot be combined with another promotion unless otherwise stated. Loyalty rewards have no cash value and are non-transferable.
Rewards must be redeemed by the original client and may not be exchanged for cash or products unless otherwise specified.
Promotional offers are limited-time only. Offers may have an expiry date and are subject to change or end without prior notice. Be sure to use them while they’re active!
Promotions and loyalty rewards cannot be applied to the purchase of gift cards or combined with service packages unless clearly stated.
XII. Privacy Policy
Any personal information, beauty concerns, or conversations shared during your appointment will remain strictly confidential. Your details will never be sold, shared, or disclosed to third parties without your consent.
